Restart a Heart: Saving Lives Together
Restart a Heart is a national campaign led by Resuscitation Council UK and supported by ambulance services, healthcare organisations, schools and community groups across the country.
The campaign aims to increase awareness of cardiac arrest and give more people the confidence and skills needed to perform CPR and use a defibrillator.
A key part of the campaign is Restart a Heart Day, which takes place every year on 16 October. On and around the day, organisations across the UK come together to encourage people of all ages to learn these vital life-saving skills.
Throughout the east of England, our staff, volunteers and partners deliver CPR training sessions, attend community events, and work with schools, workplaces and local organisations to help more people feel confident responding in an emergency.
By providing training, demonstrations and educational resources, Restart a Heart is helping to create more lifesavers in our communities. The more people who know how to act quickly when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, the more lives can be saved.
