How to make your donation

It could be that there’s a specific fund dear to your heart, or a community first responder group that helped a loved one through a medical emergency.

Let us know your wishes, we can try our best to accommodate them.


The easiest way to donate online is through our JustGiving page. You’ll also find touching testimonies of why people donated and inspiring stories about their fundraising activities.

Direct debit or standing order

If you’d like to donate to us regularly, you can do so by setting up a direct debit or standing order. You can decide the amount and whether it’s monthly, quarterly, yearly or however often you’d like.

When sending a donation by cheque, please provide your name, address, details of your donation and whether you would like to add Gift Aid.

If you’d like your donation to be used by a specific fund, simply write the name of the fund on the reverse of the cheque.

Add Gift Aid to your donation

When donating, you may be asked if you want to add Gift Aid. Gift Aid allows us to reclaim the tax that you have already paid on your donations.

This means that if you are a UK taxpayer your donation can increase by 25% at no extra cost to you. For every £1 you give, we can reclaim 25p.

Making a gift in memory

You can also donate gifts in memory of loved ones. For example, some people request that instead of flowers at a funeral, friends and relatives make charitable donations instead.

Leaving a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will to our charity is a wonderful way for your generosity to last beyond your lifetime. What you leave is up to you. It could be a fixed amount or as part of the residue of your estate.

If you would like to do this, contact They can assist you while making or amending your will. We’ll work closely with your solicitors to make sure that your wishes are carried out.

Who funds the ambulance service?

East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) is funded by the NHS and supported by its charity. Our charity helps us to go further and do more, while improving the lives and healthcare outcomes of everyone in our community.

The charity is a separate legal entity and is registered with the Charity Commission. The charitable fund registered number is 1047987. The annual reporting period of the charitable fund is from 1 April to 31 March each year.

These are filed with the Charity Commission annually by 31 January of the year following. The latest independently reviewed annual report and financial statements are for the year to 31 March 2022 and are available on the Charity Commission website.
