Stars of EEAST award categories
The categories for the Stars of EEAST 2024 awards are:
Living the Values award
The Living the Values award is for all staff and volunteers who:
- demonstrate unmistakable evidence of living the Trust values (respect, teamwork, honesty, quality and care)
- have an outstanding example of having demonstrated one or more of the Trust values
- can clearly evidence the promotion of the Trust values in their everyday roles.
Keith Marshall Award for Distinguished Service
The Keith Marshall Award for Distinguished Service is open to all community first responders (CFRs) that have:
- shown evidence of a clear commitment and dedication to the Trust in their CFR role
- demonstrated an example of outstanding individual or ongoing acts of commitment to the Trust and our patients
- a positive and inspiring attitude.
Excellence in Patient Care award
The Excellence in Patient Care award is open to all clinical staff and volunteers who:
- have made a significant contribution to patient care, on an individual case basis or through improvements that will have a positive impact on our patients
- demonstrate an outstanding commitment to patient care and dedication to looking after our patients at the core of everything they do
- have demonstrated evidence of measurable improvement and/or positive outcomes because of exemplary quality of care.
Excellence in Supporting Patient Care award
The Excellence in Supporting Patient Care award is open to all staff and volunteers in a non-clinical role who:
- have made a significant contribution to the Trust
- demonstrate an outstanding commitment to supporting and improving the Trust
- have demonstrated evidence of measurable improvement and/or positive outcomes because of their work.
Excellence in Innovation award (sponsored by Intuiti)
The Excellence in Innovation award is open to all staff and volunteers who:
- can evidence an innovative approach to improving a particular system or process with positive outcomes for service delivery and/or patient care
- this could include an idea or approach that has improved practice, saved time or money, improved a previous approach to improve efficiency and effectiveness and/or implementing a brand-new way of working
- have demonstrated evidence of partnership working.
EDI Champion of the Year award
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Champion of the Year award is open to all staff and volunteers who have:
- demonstrated courage to challenge inappropriate or discriminative behaviour
- introduced positive and proactive initiatives to recognise and encourage the differing experiences of our diverse workforce, championing inclusion and acting as an ally to colleagues around them
- evidence of actions that have positively impacted upon colleagues and the organisation to improve culture and create an inclusive workplace.
Emerging Leader (Excellence in Leadership award. Sponsored by PA Consulting)
The Excellence in Leadership award for an Emerging Leader is open to all staff and volunteers who:
- are in the early stages of their leadership journey
- are showing exciting potential and beginning to have a positive impact of their teams and colleagues.
- can evidence having motivated others and promoted the Trust values.
Experienced Leader (Excellence in Leadership award. Sponsored by The Ortus Group)
The Excellence in Leadership award for an Experienced Leader is open to all staff and volunteers who:
- can demonstrate straightforward evidence of inclusive and compassionate leadership
- can evidence having motivated and empowered others, promoted the Trust values and guided people to a positive outcome
- has shown courage and innovation in their leadership.
Rising Star of EEAST award
The Rising Star of EEAST award is for staff and volunteers that are relatively new to their profession that are showing great potential and who:
- demonstrate an ongoing passion for professional development and career progression
- evidence having the skills, attitude and desire to go far in their chosen career path
- examples of having already gone above and beyond, and/or a significant achievement that they have already made in their role.
Team of the Year award
The Team of the Year award is open for teams made up of all staff and volunteers who:
- can show evidence of effective teamwork and collaboration
- demonstrate teams working together to support personal and professional development
- evidence consistent high-quality outcomes and upholding the Trust values.
Volunteer of the Year award (sponsored by EEAST Charity)
The Volunteer of the Year award is for all volunteers who:
- have given up their time to support the Trust in service delivery and patient care
- have shown exceptional dedication to volunteering and an outstanding commitment to the Trust
- can show evidence of the significant impact they have made through their volunteering role
