Exceptional people recognised at ambulance service awards night

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) hosted this year's Stars of EEAST awards at the Delta Hotel Peterborough on Thursday 10 September.

Over 450 staff, volunteers and teams were nominated by colleagues from across the Trust in 12 award categories recognising excellence in everything the ambulance service does – from patient care and innovation, to leadership and volunteering. These nominations were shortlisted down to 38, and Trust staff and volunteers then voted for who they wanted to win in each category.

EEAST CEO Neill Moloney hosted the event, which was also attended by local MP Sam Carling and the Trust's executive leadership team.

Neill said: "I am immensely proud of the work that our staff and volunteers do every day – supporting patients and communities, as well as each other. Events like these, where we can come together and celebrate just some of the extraordinary achievements of our people, are what EEAST is all about."

The event was sponsored by the East of England Ambulance Service Charity. Browne Jacobson, Asset Assured Management and DSA Electrical generously sponsored individual award categories. The event was also supported by Chawton Hill Ltd, Fleet Factors and Hill Dickinson LLP.
