Dedicated paramedic awarded for outstanding service
Date: 12 March 2026A Suffolk paramedic has been recognised with a prestigious award at an annual ambulance leadership event.

Marcus Turner-Leeper, a paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST), was recognised for his outstanding service as a paramedic at the Ambulance Leadership Forum, an annual event organised by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE).
Marcus works in the unscheduled care coordination hub for Suffolk and north east Essex, which assesses 999 calls and directs patients to more appropriate services in the community.
He also provides critical support as a Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer (HALO) at A&E departments in Suffolk hospitals, ensuring patients arriving by ambulance are handed over to hospital teams as quickly as possible.
At the Ambulance Leadership Forum in Windsor this week, Marcus was celebrated for his outstanding professionalism, leadership, and dedication to patient care.
Beyond his professional achievements, Marcus has recently embarked on a new chapter at home, having adopted two children with his husband. Despite the demands of family life, he continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to patient care through his work at EEAST.
