Trust takes part in Remembrance Day commemorations
Date: 14 November 2016
Our staff and volunteers alike have paid their respects to the servicemen and women both past and present in Remembrance Day events across the region.
On Friday (11th November) we observed a two minutes silence across all of our stations to remember those who have served in the armed forces and those who continue to do so.
On Sunday (13th November) we saw a number of our colleagues take part in parades in locations including Chelmsford, Bishop's Stortford, March, and Stevenage.
Acting Duty Locality Officer Steve Hudson said: "Myself and our colleagues are extremely proud of them for giving up their own time to show support for our fallen and serving armed servicemen and women."
He added: "We had some lovely feedback from the public who saw us at the parade in Chelmsford which made it even more special."
Jennifer Mills, who attended the March event said: "It was a beautiful day and we all felt extremely proud to be representing the Trust."
Meanwhile, Duty Locality Officer Stuart Clark was our representative in London and said: "It was an amazing experience and it was very humbling watching the veterans march past the cenotaph. I felt honoured and proud to have represented the Trust at such a prestigious event."
