On Monday evening EEAST declared a Business Continuity Incident to allow us to manage the extreme pressure we were under after a high volume of calls and delays in handing over patients at hospitals.

Thanks to the hard work of all our staff, we have now been able to stand down the Business Continuity Incident.

The NHS remains under extreme pressure – so please only call 999 for life-threatening conditions or serious injury.

For all other calls, please continue to contact 111, your GP or a minor injury centre.
