EEAST recruitment and engagement event held at The Forum, Norwich
Date: 24 January 2019
On Tuesday 22nd January our recruitment and public engagement teams joined forces for their first collaborative event of 2019 at The Forum in Norwich. With stands side by side, the teams worked together to spread the word to as many people as they could about ambulance service careers and opportunities here at the East of England Ambulance Trust.
Mark Wibberley fronted the recruitment team, alongside front-line colleagues Sarah Vicary and Alex Flack with our Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) manager, Victoria Boyce and PPI Officer, Gillian Langley speaking to the public about their experiences with us.
Sarah, who spent much of the day speaking to interested members of the public about all the different roles available at EEAST, said, ‘We’ve had excellent public engagement, lots of people coming in to talk to us about the different roles available. We pointed them in the direction of NHS jobs site and had a real good conversation about what’s required so hopefully we get some really good feedback!’.
Her positive message was shared by Mark, who was keen to promote our #beseeningreen campaign and suggesting it’s not too late for a ‘new year, new career’.
The team were joined by their flagship ‘High Dependency Unit’ ambulance which sat outside The Forum to advertise that we were inside, encouraging members of the public to come in and speak to members of Team EEAST.
