If you are interested in the emergency services and live near Bishop’s Stortford then you may be in luck this weekend.

We will be at Bishop’s Stortford fire station alongside our fire service colleagues at an open day this Saturday (24th September) from 11am – 4pm and would love to see as many of you as possible.

The station can be found in Patmore Close where people will be able to find out more about the work we do, and also a chance to see the inside of an ambulance and fire engine.

Paramedic Aaron Taylor is attending and said: “We are really looking forward to the day and would encourage anyone in the area who has an interest in the emergency services to pop in and say hello.”

Richard Thake, Cabinet Member for Community Safety at Hertfordshire County Council, said: “As well as being a fun opportunity for people to get a close look at the equipment and vehicles, it’s a great chance to engage with the public. Hopefully visitors will have a fun day out and take away some useful safety advice.”
