Transcript
Hello, I’m Tom Davis, Interim Chief Executive.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
With over 150 veterans and 25 reservists currently at EEAST, as well as supporting RAF and Army Co-Responder schemes, it has been a pleasure to celebrate our Armed Forces this week.
We are very proud that The Trust has been awarded Veterans Aware Status by the VHCA; this demonstrates our ongoing support for veterans, reservists and their dependents
If you have any further questions, please speak to Terry Hicks who is our Armed Forces Champion.
Supporting our veterans
If you need further support, please visit Combat Stress, the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. If you are a member of staff at EEAST, you can also access the wellbeing pages.
EEAST fundraisers
16 paramedics and EMTs from Mid-Essex, some of whom are British Army reservists and veterans, will tackle the Three Peaks challenge in July to raise money for Combat Stress. Read more about their story.
