23852 - 2019 - Sirens on New Ambulances

Since the inception of this Trust in 2006 the siren amplifier/ECU of choice on all EEAST emergency vehicles has always been the Woodway/Whelen model in keeping with virtually every other Emergency Service throughout the UK for harmonised tones Wail/Yelp/hi-lo or Piercer.

Please advise as to why the Trust has decided to change to a different manufacturer which now means these new vehicles have a different 'tone' to all other vehicles?
Was this due to cost or was the specification left to the converter to procure as your fleet department lacks the detailed knowledge of certain ambulance equipment specifications in relation to warning lights and sirens?
