    1. The amount of COPD exacerbations EEAST have been sent to for the last 3 years (2017-2018, 2016-2017, 2015-2016)

    Please see the table below

    2. The amount of these patients that were nebulised with salbutamol
    3. The amount of these patients that were nebulised with ipratropium

Unfortunately in order for the Trust to know how many of these patients were nebulised, we would have to look through each individual patient care record to see if this is recorded, as this information would only be held on the care records. The Trust has calculated this would take over the 18 hours defined by the Freedom of Information Act and therefore unable to answer this part of your request under s.12 of the FOIA.

    4. The amount of these patients that were transported to hospital

     Please see the table below.

The table below shows the number of incident responses (where a resource physically attended the scene) for AMPDS codes which have the keyword COAD/COPD. These figures exclude duplications, tests, and CSD calls.
Please also note no data was returned for COAD/COPD in the year 2015/16 – It is important to note like all other specific causes that this will only include cases where the Trust has been given information leads to that diagnosis, an indeterminate volume of COAD/COPD calls would be under the generic breathing problems codes.
