21839 - Hoax Calls

For the financial years 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19 (separate figures for each please) can you tell me:

- How many 999 calls the trust received which were categorised as ‘hoax’ or non genuine

- How many 999 calls the trust received which were categorised as vexatious or abusive

- How many staff hours were spent dealing with these calls

- Any examples of hoax, vexatious or abusive calls you are willing to provide

    Please note calls are not categorised on the CAD if they are vexatious or abusive. A Datix incident record might be submitted for a particularly verbally abusive call but this is very subjective based on the call handlers interpretation of the abuse. As such we are unable to provide you with this information.
