19687-Prison Call Outs

1. How many call outs have been attended to by ambulances at prisons for medical emergencies in  2016/17, 2017/18 & 2018/19? If possible, please provide breakdown by prison. 

2. If possible please provide information on why the ambulance was called for those same years requested in question 1. 

 3. If possible, please could you specify if Spice or a similar psychoactive drug was involved for those same years requested in question 1.

    We are unable to answer question 3, if a drug related incident results in injury then these calls are logged in relation to the injury sustained, not the fact that drugs were involved. If the only reason for the response is the effect of drugs, it will be categorised under ‘Overdose’ but this is not always specific as to the nature of the intoxication involved. ‘Overdose’ includes legal or illegal drug use, cleaning fluids ingestion, alcohol, etc.
