How many people have been killed or injured by cars or any other vehicle driven by member of the Fire service, Police, Or Ambulance service or any of the armed forces whist on duty, driving a  service vehicle

    Dec 2016 – Nov 2017 – 2 incidents
    Incident 1 – collision between ambulance and cyclist. Low harm reported
    Incident 2 – patient discharged from hospital struck by volunteer car driver’s car. Severe harm recorded, no details of injury recorded.

    Dec 2017 – Dec 2018 – 2 incidents
    Incident 1 – road traffic collision between ambulance and van. The ambulance was en-route to a 999 call. Moderate harm recorded
    Incident 2 – road traffic collision between an ambulance, four cars, and a lorry. The ambulance was en-route to a 999 call. Low harm recorded

    All reported incidents are investigated by the Trust and any opportunities to actively identify and reduce occupational road risk & vehicle related incidents are addressed as part of any learning outcomes of any investigation.
