    G.     What is your trust’s current call script for patients regarding waiting times? Please provide a full copy
When the Surge plan is implemented the following may be read to callers dependant on the call category:

“A response will be en route to you as soon as possible. However, due to high demand on the ambulance service we do need to prioritise callers with immediate life-threatening emergencies and so there may be a delay in responding to you which may be over *YY* hours (specified for category).

Whilst help is being arranged a clinician may call you back, it is important that we are able to contact you, please keep the line clear so that we can contact you.

Only call us back on 999 if the patient’s condition gets worse during this time, for further instructions, otherwise wait for the emergency vehicle to arrive.”
