In accordance with the freedom of information act, I would like to know exactly how much EEAST provides funding for the NORWICH SOS BUS on a year by year basis compared to the amount of incidents that sos have prevented an ambulance journey to hospital.

The Trust does not provide any funding for the SOS Bus from our budgets.

The Open Trust fund us to provide Medical Cover on the SOS Bus at specific times. We are not always able to fill these shifts, if we cannot, or are ‘stood down’ by Open, they find alternative cover.

We do not directly ‘fund’ the service.

To determine if an ambulance has been stood down prior to arrival for any calls attended by Responders, the Trust would have to manually search through each record on our Computer Aided Dispatch system.  We have determined that this would take over the 18 hour limit laid down by the Freedom of Information request and therefore we are applying exemption s.12 to this part of your request.
