Partnership Survey

EEAST undertook its first partnership survey between December 2021 and January 2022, achieving 88 responses, representing a 19% response rate. The purpose of the partnership survey was to strengthen our understanding about how our partnerships are working and how we can improve them. We asked participants about their organisation, geographical coverage and about which departments they had worked with atEEAST. The results below show the feedback against six main questions, the Trust-wide view and the variation between the Integrated Care Systems areas.  Feedback we have received includes:

  • "We have a good working relationship with EEAST and really value their input in our meetings. I would like to build further on the relationships so that we can have a stronger and more positive partnership relationship."
  • "High turnover of staff within EEAST sometimes limits ability to build up rapport and ensure continuity with workstreams and projects etc. Specific names people for each alliance would be helpful so we can include them in meetings."
  • "Personally, I have always found EEAST colleagues to be personable, well informed and easy to work with. There is much that we could do to better understand the op pressures that EEAST deal with and I think we could work more collaboratively..."
  • "The pressure EEAST is under is recognised. There is a concern re: response times in north Norfolk, particularly in the very rural areas."
  • "As an organisation you have a tough job to manage demand and work across the region the EEAST teams I come into contract with are always forward leaning and keen to work in the best interest of the patients first."
  • "I would like to see local divisions given more autonomy to work agree/ act with their local systems to make the local system more agile and responsive."
  • "I would like to thank all EEAST staff for their on-going commitment and support to the west Essex system in a period of unprecedented demand."
  • "A more open and responsive attitude would really benefit relationships."
