AACE - Association of Ambulance Chief Executives

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is a member of the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE).  AACE, which was established in 2011, provides ambulance services with a central organisation that supports, coordinates and implements nationally agreed policy. It also provides people with a central resource  of information about NHS ambulance services. The primary focus of the AACE is the ongoing development of the English ambulance service and the improvement of patient care.

Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund

The Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund is a registered charity, established in 1986 to help ambulance service personnel and their dependants from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man in times of genuine hardship.

East Anglian Air Ambulance

Established in 2000, the EAAA provides services in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. It provides patients with rapid access to specialist clinical teams and a quick transfer to the most appropriate hospital.  It operates two helicopters that are staffed by skilled paramedics and doctors.

Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance

EHAAT operates two helicopters and provides services in Essex and Hertfordshire. It provides a rapid clinical response across both counties via its specialist team of doctors and paramedics.

Healthwatch 

Healthwatch is the independent consumer champion for health and social care in the UK.  It was created in April 2013 and builds on the knowledge and expertise of the former Local Involvement Networks (LINks).  They are based within local authorities.

Healthwatch makes sure that the views and experiences of people who use health and social care services are heard and taken seriously at local and national level.  There are 152 community-focused local Healthwatch groups in the England.

Magpas Helimedix - The Emergency Medical charity

Magpas was founded in 1971. It supports the Ambulance Service by providing an enhanced air ambulance and emergency response service, despatched to severe medical emergencies within Cambridgeshire and the East of England. The charity operates one helicopter, two rapid response vehicles and one land ambulance, staffed by highly trained volunteer Doctors and Paramedics. The Helimedix are on call to provide essential medical care where it is needed most.
