First Aid Training

We offer a full range of Ofqual regulated first aid training courses for businesses and individuals accepted by HSE for the purposes of compliance with regulation 3(2) of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. We specialise in tailoring courses to your specific industry requirements.

Our training can take place either at one of our training centres in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, or conveniently at your premises.

Courses

Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

This one-day Ofqual regulated course is ideal for most workplace first aiders or anyone who requires a comprehensive one day course. Certificates are valid for 3 years with a ½ day annual refresher course strongly advised.  

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW)

This three-day Ofqual regulated course is for higher risk workplaces such as factories and construction sites that require a more in-depth course. Certificates are valid for 3 years with a ½ day annual refresher course strongly advised. 

First Aid at Work Requalification

This two-day course is for candidates who hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and will re-qualify them for a further 3 years. 

FAW Annual Refresher

This course is strongly recommended for candidates who hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate. This course will ensure you are up to date with any protocol changes and provide you with the opportunity to practice your skills. 

Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid

This two-day Ofqual regualted course is designed to meet the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets Ofsted requirements. It is suitable for childminders, nursery and school staff (dealing with foundation stage) and anybody who cares for children and wants a more in-depth course. 

IHCD First Person on Scene (FPOS)

Our Institute of Health Care Development (Edexcel) accredited FPOS courses are clinically endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (Edinburgh). They cover the full First Aid at Work syllabus with added flexibilty of further modules including defibrillation, Oxygen therapy and airway management. Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Our initial AED course teaches the safe operation of a defibrillator and includes adult and paediatric BLS and suitable for anyone who has recently obtained a defibrillator. We also offer shorter annual refresher courses to keep you up to date.

First Aid for Parents/Grandparents/Guardians of Children

This three-hour course is suitable for grandparents or guardians who look after children in a non-professional capacity and require basic knowledge of first aid. The course covers basic life support (CPR), choking and common childhood illnesses such as meningitis and croup.

National contracts 

We are able to fulfill national contracts through our membership of the NHS Ambulance Service First Aid Training (NASFAT) consortium.
