Five in hospital after two collisions on same road in Cambs

Five people, including two children, were hospitalised after ambulance crews responded to two collisions near to each other in Cambridgeshire.

The first call was made at 12.24pm after two vehicles collided on London Road, Hampton, near Peterborough.

Crews also dealt with another incident that happened further down the road after they arrived on scene.

Four people were injured in the first collision, a boy whose exact age is not known, suffering stomach pain, a girl of three with neck pain, a woman with neck pain and the driver of one of the vehicles, whose age or gender is not known, who had been trapped with an injured knee.

All four were treated on scene before being taken to Peterborough City Hospital along with a casualty from the second incident who suffered minor injuries.
