A woman has been hospitalised following an earlier road traffic collision this afternoon, Wednesday, November 7.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) was alerted to the A505 travelling towards Luton at 2.31pm to a report of a car leaving the roadway and colliding with trees. Ambulance crews from Letchworth and Stevenage attended the scene.

Duty ambulance operations manager Paula Johnson, who attended the incident said: “The woman was trapped in her vehicle for approximately one hour. Paramedics treated, stabilised and immobilised her in the car, whilst the fire service cut her free from the wreckage.”

The woman was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage for further care. Her injuries are non-life threatening.
